About this blog

Being an expat wife, not working and still unsure about what I could do work-wise from no matter what country (you never know when you will be moving again), a lot of people suggested I should write a blog.

But how many expat wife blogs can you have describing the countries you move to with all the ups and downs of your journey? Besides, we are not proper expats anyway; we are only on our second assignment and on bad days I really hope it is the last one!

One night, I started to think about what I will miss the most when we move away from Stavanger and I came to the conclusion that it will not be the beautiful mountains around Stavanger that I will miss, nor the stunning seaside or any other things you can experience elsewhere, but it will be the people you meet on these assignments.

Fascinating expat wives became my friends who are from beautiful, sometimes for me nearly unknown countries, and have lived in the most interesting places already. They have given up their normal life to travel around with their families.

Some of them sacrificed a lot but on the other hand they also gained a lot. They have life experiences they would normally not have and their unique journeys turned them into really special women!

Every single one of them has their own background and had their own lives planned out before they decided to follow (normally) their husband’s job in the unknown!

These expat mums have fascinating stories to tell and I really feel the urge to share them with someone because expat mums are definitely more interesting than a lot of you might think!

So here we go, welcome to the lives of some fascinating expat mums!
